February Bake Break 2025 Recipe Collection

You can find links to all the recipes we made during February Bake Break 2025 on this page!

Monday's Camp

Ravioli:

We used this pasta recipe and the filling recipe on this page. This page lays out a great technique for making ravioli very similar to what we used.

While all of these pages show pasta being made with rollers and special equipment, we didn't use any of that and it's not necessary for making simple ravioli. Just use a regular rolling pin. The most important piece is to let the dough have enough time to rest and to keep it moist. Pasta dough dries out very easily. During the winter, I'm VERY liberal with the olive oil.

Lava Cakes:

You can make these in muffins tins or ramekins (6 ounce work best). This is the type of chocolate I use. DO NOT USE chocolate chips. This is the recipe we general use.

Cakes:

Kids during camp had the option of making strawberry, chocolate, marble, or vanilla cake. Here are links to my fav recipes for all:

Vanilla

Chocolate

Marble

Strawberry

Tuesday's Camp

Creamcicle Cookies:

These are insanely good. One of my new fav cookie reciples.

Orange Rolls:

We made this recipe, but if you have the time, this is my favorite one (we taught this sweet dough in our adult cinnamon roll class, if you attended that)

Poptarts:

I use this butter pie crust recipe and then just make them as hand pies, cutting into squares and folding over. You can experiment with fillings, we did cinnamon and sugar and chocolate in class. This is my fav chocoate filling.

Wednesday's Camp

Soft Pretzels:

Some kids chose to make knots or bites vs. traditional pretzel shape, but the recipe is the same.

Donuts:

Baked version here

Snickerdoodles:

So many of you loved these cookies!

Thursday's Camp

Cinnamon Swirl Bread

This makes such good french toast. I've also made a version with chocolate (the same filing used in poptarts above).

Red Velvet Crinkle Cookies:

We didn't use red food coloring in these and I never do, because they are good enough to stand on their own with out the flair.

Lemon Pound Cake:

Although not traditional, I prefer my pound cake with sour cream to make it a bit lighter. Similar to this recipe.
