Sprinkle Effect Foundation

What is it?

The Sprinkle Effect Foundation is the sister non-profit of MePowered Pastries, driven by a mission to empower our community through culinary collective action, in order to:

  • build connections and support networks
  • support and engage with youth and families
  • improve access to food through shared baking and meal experiences.

Why did we start it?

The Sprinkle Effect Foundation was born out of the belief that intentional collective action is the most powerful tool we have for community change.

And when we come together, no sprinkle is too small. Every sprinkle of love and joy is needed to create the world we want to see.

Theory of change: Culinary Activism

Food is a powerful resource and a resource of power.

Not only is it one of our basic needs, but throughout history it is also how we show love, share stories, and pass down tradition.

The act of making and sharing food is the ultimate activism for this reason.

The culinary collective action driven by the Sprinkle Effect Foundation provides an accessible yet powerful force for community change and support.

Making community action accessible

Often, despite the desire to help, financial resources, time, or a lack of family-friendly opportunities often present barriers to community action. For this reason, all of our programs and events are family-friendly and designed for accessibility.

Community change happens when you show up, and so that’s the only requirement for participation in a Sprinkle Effect event: showing up with intention.
